This aftercare was designed to be used through the entire tattoo healing process from fresh to healed and helps speed healing time.
The Chamomile and Lavender oil soothe the skin when the tattoo is fresh, while shea butter and coconut oil keep the skin moisturized for the entire process to avoid uncomfortable dryness.
This product is also amazing for brightening up and nourishing healed tattoos.

Taking Care of Your New Tattoo
Leave second skin (Ultraderm) bandage on for 24-72 hours.
To remove, find an edge of the bandage, and pull it back over itself in the direction of hair growth. The shower is the best place to remove the second skin sheet as dry removal of Ultraderm may cause discomfort and add trauma to the skin. Discard the used bandage and wash the tattoo with a mild antibacterial soap that is fragrance-free (Dial is great). Allow the tattoo to air dry or pat dry with a clean towel.
Apply a thin layer of aftercare product to your tattoo. Wash the tattoo twice daily and ensure the tattoo is dried completely before reapplying the aftercare. Do not leave the tattoo to dry for long periods of time or over-moisturize the tattoo. It needs to breathe! A good rule of thumb for any aftercare product is just enough to shine. Showers are safe and perfectly fine, even the first day, but avoid soaking the tattoo; pools, baths, tanning beds and hot tubs are a No-Go and to be avoided for a minimum of 2-3 weeks.
Continue to use ALLIES AFTERCARE (or Polysporin) for 4 days, or until the tattoo begins to flake. After it has begun to flake:
- if using the Polysporin, switch to an unscented lotion and continue to keep the tattoo moisturized.
- If using ALLIES AFTERCARE, continue use for entire healing process (no need for multiple products). Avoid drying out, scratching, soaking or picking the area while healing.
